Maybe we should have house bonding activities or something in the common room, like miniature gobstone tournaments or study groups to help people get to know each other better. And if they have a problem with you being nice, don't worry about it. They're not worth your time or any more attention. Stick with the people you know you can count on...which I hope includes us," he chuckled, throwing an arm around Anna.

"I saw," Cale added, wrinkling his eyebrows in annoyance. He had liked the boy when they first met and did like him up until...oh, the last train ride, he believed. "Don't even worry about Kingston Wendleworth. He's being a jerk to try and give himself an ego boost...don't even bother responding to him. If he has a problem with you, he can take it up with ME, your prefect," he told him with a smile. "You've done nothing wrong, Jason, remember that. You're being perfectly polite and if they're not going to give you the same curtesy then that's THEIR problem, not yours."

"There's the spirit!" he said with a chuckle, patting his friend on the back. "Trying out never hurt anyone, and you never know what might happen!"
