Bree winced as Jason began screeching his pain into the already loud surroundings. By now everyone at the table already knew he was in pain why was he proclaiming it again. Did the whole school need to know.

Bree looked 'round at this Slytherin first-year who had joined them on Daphne's other side. "I don't know, but he's friends with the prefects so I don't think you want to get on his bad side." she whispered back to his question. Then she paused considering whether she should voice her thoughts. "But I don't think I like him very much either." she agreed finally. "I was a little rude to him and then he started complaining. I think he hates me. I even said I was sorry. I don't think he heard though, he just keeps glaring at me." she finished disgruntled.

He didn't want any fights starting. Nope. None at all. They could all play nice, yes? Right. It wasn't hard. Cale despised rude people, and wasn't about to have any in the house he was a prefect for.

"Quidditch? I love it!" he replied, grinning broadly again. "Although Allie over there--" he pointed to the young Gryffindor second year along the table, "broke my nose last year during practice, she's beastly with her beaters bat," he joked. "We kind of lost to Slytherin last year and came in fourth, but hopefully we'll be much better this year. You thinking of trying out for the team?" he asked. They could always use fresh blood on the team.

Taking an unfortunate sip of water at that very moment, Cale almost choked on his drink, coughing and sputtering as his eyes started watering. "Professor, did you say Cassandra Trelawney is the new nurse intern...person?" he asked, eyes widening in shock. What, had seven years of torturing students and over abusing her prefect badge not been enough? She had to come back and torment them some more? AHHHH!
"I've never flown before so I don't know whether I'd be good enough. Besides I'm a first-year so I can't try out can I?" she asked warily, hoping she wasn't mistaken and disappointing Cale. Quidditch seemed to be something he wanted all the first-years to get involved in.

It wasn't for lack of desire though. She wouldn't mind a chance to try out the sport. The PE classes at her old school had been rather repetative even though she did like the physical activity. Quidditch, however it was played, would be a welcome change.

Then he exploded again. "Who's Cassandra?" she asked the air, not really expecting a reply. He had sprayed the table with liquid again, only it was much less staining and more scattered than the pumpkin juice had been. Bree was considering wearing a raincoat whenever she sat near Cale during the term.

Now that food had appeared she was helping herself slowly, picking through the food for what looked most appetizing. There seemed to be no limit now. Surely even the entire school couldn't eat this much. But she could see that all the other tables were laden with just as much food as theirs was. What would they do with the leftovers?
