Never mind. He was a gentleman and a gentleman must do what he must.
A small smile crept on his lips as he gave her a slight bow. "Ahh, my dear girl I will not allow you to walk alone to the Ravenclaw table. It would be extremly inappropriate for a fair maiden such as yourself to walk alone. Allow me to escort you there." Kingston told her, taking her hand and placing it on his arm. "Excuse me Miss Hopton while I escort Miss... Oh dear! I am awfully rude, aren't I?" he chuckled, realizing he didn't know the girl's name. "I am Kingston Wendleworth. And you are...?" Blushing as hard as it was possible for her skin, Melina's body instinctively responded to his bow with one of her own. Picking the sides of her skirt, she bended her torso, imitating quite too perfectly the bows from the old films. Embarrassed or not, she had done those quite too many times to trip on her own feet or lose her balance. Besides, there was no other proper bow to give to a prince, right? No matter if she wasn't a princess herself.
Oh no, oh no, oh no, she had to be dreaming. That was far too good to be true. It had to be. But then again, it was normal for the boy to be so awfully polite, was it not? If he wasn't then he wouldn't be a fairytale prince. Well, unless if he was from one of those where the princes are evil and have to go through horrible trials but he didn't look like one of those. Oh no, he was most definitely one of those princes that get on their white horse and fight against the most horrible dragons for their love. Ah yes, she was the luckiest girl in the world for finding a prince like those. Sigh. Too bad she was no princess, though.
"It's quite alright, sir," She said shyly. "I can go there on my own. I-I'm sure that you're busy right now and I don't want to disturb you," She added, glancing at the girls a couple of times. One of them could be his princess and she definitely didn't want to ruin their happily ever after. "Just give me the direc-." Oh. My. God. Oh my God. Had he just-? He had. He had, he had, he HAD! A PRINCE HAD TOUCHED HER! A PRINCE HAD TOTALLY TOUCHED HER! Oh, how she wanted to squeal and... and... and... Wait, was she getting close to hyperventilation? Oh no, that could not be! That was not a lady-like behaviour and she had to be a lady. Yes, she did. She was next to a prince after all! A prince who had just - noooo, better not think about that. She didn't want to faint and make a fool out of herself after all.
"I-It's fine," She whispered. Aah, why couldn't she just talk in an even voice at least? Oh, nevermind that, she had more important matters at hand. So, his name was Kingston, eh? Well, that didn't match any name of any prince from any fairytale she had heard of but then again, there were many where the princes were called... well, prince. Besides, his name proved her right. King-ston. King. King, prince. Yep, she had been right all along. But how could she not? Melly had always spotted those things from far.
"It's Melina, sir, Melina Roscoe," She told him at last with a small smile that lit up her eyes.

We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
