After all, her heart was beating so fast that, was she aware of it, she'd be wondering whether everyone around her could hear it or not. But then again, how could she not? She was standing right next to a fairytale prince. And - OH MERLIN! Had he just -? Oh he had. HE HAD!
If her heart had been beating too fast before, then that was nothing compared to its speed in that specific moment. Actually, one could easily say that it was similar to the one that formula one cars reached. Oh yes, her chances for fainting were pretty high at the moment.
"G-g-good evening," She whispered, looking down embarrassedly, while her cheeks burned even hotter.
She had been right, his voice did belong to his hair and... and Merlin, that face! Yes, she had most definitely been right. He HAD popped out of a fairytale. Now the question was which one? Hmm... She couldn't know by his looks for there were too many fairytales that didn't include physical descriptions apart from the 'unmistakeable beauty' part and she didn't exactly know anything about him... Well, guess that meant it was time for Melly to start investigating. Now, if only she could gather her courage and talk to him... No, no, no, she was not going to start her "if's" again. She was going to talk to him and she was going to do it at that very moment. Oh, yes, she was! And if she didn't then her name was not Melina Roscoe.
Still, that didn't mean she couldn't act shyly. "I-I'm sorry, sir," She started, her blue eyes drifting from the floor to his face and back again. Okay, what to say now? "Erm..." She glanced around, head still down. "B-but could you point me out to the Ravenclaw table?," She asked nervously.
He was about to open his mouth yet again to suggest to Miss Hopton that they would both speak to the school staff about changing these tables, when the small girl that had her mouth opened spoke. He rose up and looked down at her, his eyes fixed on hers. Did she just ask him for the Ravenclaw table? It was over there, wasn't it? Why would the girl need for instructions?
Never mind. He was a gentleman and a gentleman must do what he must.
A small smile crept on his lips as he gave her a slight bow. "Ahh, my dear girl I will not allow you to walk alone to the Ravenclaw table. It would be extremly inappropriate for a fair maiden such as yourself to walk alone. Allow me to escort you there." Kingston told her, taking her hand and placing it on his arm. "Excuse me Miss Hopton while I escort Miss... Oh dear! I am awfully rude, aren't I?" he chuckled, realizing he didn't know the girl's name. "I am Kingston Wendleworth. And you are...?"
