Kairi ate her last chip, but her stomach still rumbled hungrily. She placed her hand flat on the table again, took a deep breath, and once again a million vibrations flooded through her, one of them telling her a girl sitting next to them was feeling lonely. Kairi turned around to face her. "Hello, are you ok?"
Lizzie lifted her head and looked at the girl next to her. She was looking at her, but still not really looking. A bit confused, she answered.
"Sure, I'm all right. It's just such a big thing, this feast and the sorting and everything. Are you a first year student as well?" She looked around for a second and returned to the girl and her friend.
"You don't happen to have seen a small blonde girl? She's a first year too. I lost her on our way here. Her name's Erica and I met her on the train. I think she 's in Gryffindor too."
Lizzie calmed down as she had someone to talk to. She didn't like loneliness, and this girl seemed very nice.
