I know my cousin Rhiannon, she graduated last term, said Hogwarts was really nice. Which I would assume included the food." She smiled , and picked up her bread again, only to be interrupted by another voice. Turning again, she resisted the urge to roll her eyes at how busy the feast was turning out to be. Smiling at the boy, she spoke brightly, placing her half-eaten bread back on her plate once more. "Hey Ludo. I looked for you on the train. Sort of." She laughed. "To be honest, I was bored, and started wondering why I hadn't seen anyone I knew. And then my cat ran off, so I had to chase her down. So it sounds like your ride was somewhat less exciting, or stressful, than mine. However you want to look at it."
While she was talking to Ludo, it appeared Asteira had gotten into another conversation, with the girl who had asked her about the food. So she idly half-listened, curious when she heard they were talking about France. She looked at her cousin as she heard a question addressed to her. She shrugged. "I don't see why you can't. I think some people just don't see how the houses can get along so well." She broke into giggles as she remembered how Rhiannon had spent most of the end-of-term feast last term away from the Ravenclaw table. She was still entertained by her cousin, who had barely talked to anyone back in California, before having come here, being so attached to someone else. But she tried to get her attention back on everyone around her at the table. She half-tuned out more France talk, seeing as she couldn't really say anything on that subject. But then she heard the other girl introduce herself, and Asteira introduced her. Smiling again, she said, "It's kind of a loose interpretation of cousin. Asteira's cousin married my brother." She felt she needed to explain, for some reason. But then she went back on topic. "It's nice to meet you, Mari. So you're same year as us." she gestured to include Asteira and Ludo. She wasn't really sure what year Willow was in. "I had that problem in Diagon Alley too. Most of the time I went around with Asteira, and I'm the one who had been here for one term already." She grinned. And then remembered her manners. "Oh!," she turned to Ludo. "Ludo, this is Mari. Mari, Ludo. He's a Ravenclaw like us. We met in Diagon Alley this term. He ran into Asteira and me in Flourish and Blotts." Pretty much literally. But she figured at least now MAri could say she'd met someone else. Mariska shrugged. " I suppose I'll have to tell my dad he was right then," She said with a little half smile. " Cousins? That's nice, to have family with you even if it is only by marriage." She looked around the hall once as the noise of students seemed to intensify and then she looked back as Elizabeth introduced another person to her. She smiled and gave a little wave, waggling her fingers at the boy whom was called Ludo. " Nice to meet you," She said, thinking it wasn't a bad idea to meet more of the male population here. That was always necessary, she thought with a little smile." This is true, now I've got a few familiar faces in a new place. Always good, no?" She said. Quote:

Crazy lady." she said again as she was." Oh and the lady in the very nice book store. " it was a very nice book store. Of course she liked books so it always added to a store's potential. "She was pretty giving out hugs." strange place that diagon alley was.
"Isnt her name Grizabella or something. I thought i heard it somewhere..."she shrugged as she passed over it. " Bella was having fun i see. She just wanted you to get a little exercise. See no harm in that." she said to her cousin with a smirk.
She looked over as she saw her cousin talking to someone. She had missed him at first as she must of been talking to the other ravenclaw girl. " Hey Ludo." she said to him with a smile. "oo chess. did you win?" she was rather found of the game. She wasn't exactly good at it, but she would always play with her father. It was important to win. Which brought up something she had been meaning to ask liz."Sorry i didnt catch up with you two on the train. I was a bit busy myself."
"Really? Am i suppose to be hating someone because im wearing Green?" she was new at this whole house thing. She doubt she could hate another house just because they wore a different color. Let alone the people in red. It was her favorite color. "Oh i had a question for you. Your good with school work right? I was thinking we should have a friendly competition. For points. Who ever gets the highest points out of us wins. Sound good? maybe we should add wagers?"
she wondered a little why every time she said she was related to Elizabeth she had to make sure everyone knew it was only by marriage. She was begining to wonder if she was contagious or something. " something like that." she added as she gave them a smile. Mari wore a surprised expression as Asteira informed her of the woman at Ollivanders. " A dangerous wand? I don't understand how any wand could be dangerous, unless it wasn't meant for the user." She said thoughtfully. How odd, that the old woman would destroy a wand like that, she mused. " How very weird." She smiled then as she remembered the book store. " It was nice, but that line was so long. The others in it informed me that it was what we deserved for going at the last minute." She said dryly. She looked over her shoulder at the still growing crowd of students and she wondered if they'd all even fit in the room. " So...what does it mean then, being in this house? " She said, asking those whom she thought would know.
