Greenhouse Five: Advanced Herbology Laboratory (Restricted Access) Once the doors are unlocked and the wards are calmed by Erikson, you are allowed into Greenhouse Five. And what is inside is nothing like what the windows outside show.
Instead of some of the more exotic plants which were once house, they have been replaced with both mundanes and some clear rarities. There are many seeds about as well: some from previous lessons, and some from plants never heard of before. Many things are simply labeled by their latin names: hybrids that are too strange to be natural.
Though the most interesting thing of all is the equipment that resides in this greenhouse. Along with the glowing orbs which were normally only found in his office, there are also darker ones, which seem to swallow the light around them. There are also all sorts of floating, writing, hovering, glowing, and otherwise moving objects which create a flurry of movement.
Along one wall is a bookshelf. Along the spines of some of the books is "Armand Erikson" and their volume numbers. Opening them reveals details of many of his own experiments. However, the volumes often have pages missing, and some volumes don't seem to exist at all. There are also similar books which are completely blank. The moment you begin taking notes in one, however, your name engraves itself along the side and the cover changes to a color which suits you. Of course, it also lists: Vol 1. |
