Hermione stepped forwards but retreated when Harry's head shot up at her.

He moved his gaze slowly over each person in the compartment, as if seeing them for the first time.

Then he stopped on Ginny. She was pure white, even her hair had lost some of it's colour, and was staring at Harry with her mouth open wide.

Harry cocked his head to one side like a toddler examining something as Ginny stepped forwards a little. As she neared him, Hermione spoke, her voice cracked and quiet.

"Ginny, be careful. Remember that's not Harry looking at you! He's been... Possessed" Her voice was shaky and full of fright. It seemed that she was right because Harry smiled as she said it.

"H- Harry? I- is that y- you?" Ginny said cautiously as she reached him.

"No" The voice echoed round them and Ron's eyes widened. They all knew that voice, that voice had haunted Harry all his life.

"You look so much like his mother..." Voldemort's voice cut through Ginny and she stumbled as she backed away.

Neville just sat there, staring at Harry with large round eyes and Luna huddled next to him. Ron and Hermione both lent forwards to grab Ginny but Harry beat them there.

Gripping her arm hard, he pulled her up. But he didn't let go.

"Does it hurt?" Ginny shook her head as Voldemort's voice came out of Harry once more. "It hurts Potter though... Put your wand away, silly little Mudblood..." Hermione looked up sharp and dropped her wand on the seat. Harry wasn't even looking at her...

Suddenly, Harry's hand let Ginny go. as she fell to the floor, Harry grabbed the scar on his forehead. Slowly his eyes closed and re-opened.

"Harry!" Ginny exclaimed as she looked up into two watery emerald eyes. "Are you oka- HARRY!" She said loudly as Harry's knees buckled and he fell to the floor.

She scrambled over to him and rolled him onto his back as he murmured to himself.

"Harry..." Luna said softly as sh knelt down beside Ginny.

"Never... Call... Her... That... Word!" Harry shouted as angry tears spilled down his cheeks. As Ginny went to wipe them away, Harry's hand raised once more to his scar and he started twitching and screaming.

"Don't hurt Gin! Please! Don't hurt her!" Harry yelled as he flung his arm up and it ht Luna across the cheek.

"Harry! I'm okay! I'm right here!" Ginny said as she laid a hand on the top of Harry's head.

Ron and Neville were now on the floor, trying to lift Harry onto the seats but he was moving around too much.

"No... where's Ron and Hermione? What have you done with them?" Harry shouted as his fist made contact with Neville's jaw and his foot hit Ron's knee.

"We're right here Harry! We're okay! They haven't done anything to us!" Hermione said softly but still he didn't listen to them.

"Don't you dare hurt them! Where are they? Leave Luna alone! Don't touch her! NO!"

Harry was now kicking his legs about and ne of them made contact with Seamus's stomach.

"What th- Oof!" Seamus said as Hermione directed him to one of the seats and Ron sat on Harry as an attempt to keep him still.

"Geez, I come down to see how you lot are and I get kicked in the stomach..." Seamus said as he watched Harry talk to himself again.

"Ron! Get off him! Your not helping at all! Wait! He's stopped now!" Hermione said as she jumped of the seat.

Harry had stopped talking now but was still twitching every now and then. Slowly, Ron stood up and Seamus helped him and Neville put Harry on the seats.

For the rest of the journey, Ginny and Luna sat with harry on one side of the compartment while Ron, Hermione and Neville filled Seamus and in on what happened.
