I love your recap of the whole locker room incident. *huggles Cale for taking up for Anna when Clifford went nuts on her* No one messes with Canna! heehee I can't wait to see how the whole Order thing plays out in the very end. Not too much longer left to go in this term.

Cale is too funneh when it comes to interacting with others around the school. He's always into some cute, funny plot. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - you play him brilliantly!

I can't wait to see what Cale and Anna will be up to next term!

*huggles you tightly*
Aww, thanks I really like playing him, he's awesome

The Angst

Cale has had it with being nice.

Because Cale learned that sometimes, being kind to people is just a waste of his time. People are rude. They don't have any matters or any type of decency, and he's decided that if they're not going to be nice to him, well then he is just not going to be nice back.

He always knew that they were, of course. He remembered going to Diagon Alley when he was little and observing the adults as he grasped onto his mother's hand. He'd listen to people argue with store clerks and use words he had never heard before. He watched as people would walk into another person on the street, knock over all their things, and just keep on walking. Even at the young age of six he knew that that wasn't right. He had just never realized the extremes until he got thrown into the world of school.

He's always considered himself a fairly happy and polite person--or maybe that's just the ego talking, you decide. Anyways, he's always made a point to be nice to someone whenever he meets them, regardless of whether or not they return the favor. Cause that is just the kind of person he is.

Well, was.

It all started with the whole stupid Cup ordeal. Yeah, Cale was mad--ticked off, actually--that justice hadn't TOTALLY been served and the points hadn't been taken away. Eh. He really could have cared less if Gryffindor had won...any other term but this term, however. This term, he had wanted to win so bad to prove that they were stronger than Cooper thought they were. He wanted to prove that they could stand together and overcome the hardships of the two schools. By winning the cup, they'd be looking Cooper in the eye and saying "HA! YOU WERE WRONG!"

After a few minutes of stewing, he got over it. He really did. Slytherin hadn't gotten the cup, they had just ended up with their name on it, which, in Cale's opinion, was still more than they deserved. But everyone knew that Slytherin hadn't totally played by the rules, even Rae acknowledged it, so in the end, all was good.

But that was when the complaining started.

Everywhere he turned, Cale seemed to hear the words "It's not fair!" or "We won fair and square!" "We deserve the cup!" "I can't believe this!" (you get the drift) coming from the Slytherins. And the more he heard, the angrier he got. After the few initial outbursts at the feast, the other houses seemed to accept it--why couldn't they?

His anger climaxed on the train, when he kinda sorta started a row with the two Slytherin's who had started this whole ordeal. He honestly didn't WANT to make a scene like that, but after everything he had endured for the past year, it had been too hard for him to stop himself. He said a lot of stuff that he regretted, but they weren't exactly nice about the whole situation either. Either way, he had been quite certain he had just made two enemies for next term, but it's not like he really cared at that point. So what? They were two Slytherin girls that he would probably ever see. Or, if he did, hopefully it would be when they were doing something else that was against the rules, cause he would sooooo carry out his threat to throw them in detention.

There were a number of other things that day that just made him feel worse and worse, and when he finally stepped off the train, he had decided he wasn't gonna be a nice guy anymore.

Now, don't get me wrong--it's not like he's going to be a complete jerk to anyone new that he meets. He'd still say hi, smile politely, and if they were going to be nice, well then he certainly would too. That proved that they were someone who would be worth his time and might possibly become a very important friend to him later on. That was how it usually was. No matter how hard he tried, he was never going to be a complete jerk. He just wasn't like that. And of course he's still gonna be a good friend to the ones he has now.

However, if someone was just plain rude or sassy or just gave him attitude, forget it. He had zero tolerance for this stuff. He had concluded that the majority of his peers were like Ezra--addicted to drama and, in some cases, trashing others. And he knew that he wanted to avoid those people at all costs. He liked the friends he had, thank you very much. If he made new friends in the coming years, then great! But if all he met were slimeballs, then...well, their loss.

Geez, can you say angsty teen or what?

Forget Mr. Nice Prefect--no, that guy was a thing of the past. Just try to tell him off now. See what happens. It's not going to be pretty.
