you live your life just once, so don't forget about a thing called love.

Okay, so while I’m waiting for people to send in their amazing graphic creations for the challenge (which by the way are looking SUPER awesome, nice job!), I need to discuss with you about a topic that’s turning out to be a major issue: VOTING.

But, before I delve in to my modness, I just want to say that in NO way is this meant to make anyone feel bad…or to single anyone out. Not no way, not no how. It’s just, this has become a bigger issue that Rhea and I thought it would be and we figure that now is the time to smoosh the issue.

Look, I absolutely ADORE love running this competition. Seriously, honestly, I do. There’s nothing greater than being able to see what everyone is capable doing and I love to see you guys participate! You go out on a limb to put your heart into a graphic and Rhea and I like to see that from you guys!

But, it really upsets me when I have to disqualify people because they don’t follow rules. The biggest rule that people seem to have a misunderstanding of is “Do not vote for your own icons.” A smaller issue is also the “don’t tell people which icons are yours”. But let’s stick to the major issue right now. Let me paint a picture for you:

You spend precious minutes working away on a BEAUTIFUL icon…you send it to Rhea/Tailz and wait for when the icons go up for voting. Finally, after a week of waiting (sometimes a bit longer because Tailzerr is slow –whistles-) the icons are put up and the voting begins. Now, let’s say you’re neck and neck with some for first place…and the time to vote is quickly winding down. A few hours to go and then BOOM, in the dying seconds, your competitor pushes in front by one vote. Time’s up. The challenge is done.

Now, the banners are handed out and a new challenge begins. After a few days though, you catch wind that the person who won had voted for their entry. Now, tell me, wouldn’t you be upset? Like, you went about…taking care to meet all the qualifications, the deadlines, and staying legit…only to lose to someone who broke the rules. I would be upset. Wouldn’t you be?

If you’re saying yes to this, then take a moment to think about this: If you would be upset about that, then why would you turn around and do something you’d be mad about if someone else committed that fault? It’s slightly hypocritical, no?

Now please, UNDERSTAND, I’m NOT singling anybody out. I’m not pointing the finger at anyone and in now way am I trying to make anyone feel bad. I’m merely discussing this because I want to this competition to remain as fair as possible, while keeping sacred to having fun. People, there’s no super crazy award if you win. It’s a banner and a slight bit of bragging rights. When Rhea first came to me and asked me if I wanted to do this competition with her, we were under the impression that we were doing this for the sheer fun of it all. Just a little bit of friendly competition.

Now, to end off my speech. Don’t even bother trying to vote for yourself. I got Rhea power. She sees things. (She’s magical like that.) We will catch you and you will face the consequences, as much as we don’t want to give them. Now, PLEASE, play by the rules and I hope I don’t have to discuss this with anyone again. If I do, you will be suspended from playing in the next challenge.

So, let’s have fun and make this challenge as great as potential says it can be!

Haven't changed that much to say. But man, I still think them cats are crazy.
They were askin' if you were around. How you was, where you could be found....

Tailz is back in town, Tailz is back in town. =)
