Professor Adrie walked briskly to the notice board and pinned a large piece of parchment to it. It read: Dear students,
I regret to inform you that no Transfiguration classes will be held for this term. My mother has become ill and I must return to her home in Scotland to care for her. You may spend scheduled Transfiguration classes reading through the textbook and practicing some incantations in the library. That way, we will still be able to make a great start on next term.
I am terribly sorry. I know many of your were looking forward to Transfiguration class; so was I. Good luck with the rest of the term! Please do not let this deter you from taking Transfiguration next term.
Sincerely,
Isabel Adrie
With a sigh, she walked down the hall. After grabbing hold of her luggage, she departed through the main doors of the school.
