Post Second print Philosopher's Stone sells for thousands

The Hereford Times is today reporting that a second print run copy of Philosopher's Stone has sold at auction for £2,101 ($3,997.35).

Rob Harkins, the owner, bought it for a couple hundred pounds 2 years ago, knowing there were only around 500 of its kind around.

Quote:
“The second printing is as rare as the first – it’s a very valuable book so it’s an obvious one to put up for sale,” he said.

“I’ve been selling books for a while, but I’ve never had a reaction like this.”
