He smiled as she gave a firm shake. "Well, it's true." He looked at the diminutive woman before him and smiled. She seemed genuinely pleasant and he thought it would be a good relationship.
He laughed, "Well, I like to be on top of things." He nodded as he took a seat. "I've nothing pressing, if you'd like to tell me about the things you expect of me and my department. Perhaps have a little time to learn about you."
She smiled back him.
"That is a very good trait to have Edward." she told him. Most people liked to put off things as long as possible especially meeting the new boss. She sat down behind her desk to look through some parchments.
"Well Edward, first off you and your team have been doing a wonderful job." She said looking up at him so he would know she was being honest in her assessment.
"So it is my hope that you will continue to work as you always have. I would l like to see more rounds added to the security detail. We had a few incidents with escaped creatures and rebellious elves and I am sad to say security wasn't around." She told him sadly. It really pained her to have to say something negative to anyone, but this was a job and sometimes you had to say them.
"It is over and done with now of course so no use crying over spilled milk. Its just something for us to strive to improve next time." She told him with a smile.
