Because everyone went all mushy over this, and truly, ITSSOSHWEET! <333
Sos, for background
Tancred is dating Lindsey, but Kingston loves Lindsey, and Lindsey loves Kingston (but she doesn't realize it yet) and Tancred loves Amelia, because they were in love before they broke up and he hooked up with Lindsey and now Lindsey walked in just as Tancred was declaring his passionate love for Amelia, while still dating Lindsey, and Kingston is behind her, and Heath was just there cuz hes that cool xD. Get it? Oks Quote:

It was Kingston that had snapped him out of it; he loved Amelia and was terribly sorry for everything he had done. To Amelia, to Lindsey, even to Kingston. He was just a stupid git!
Then time itself seemed to stop. He could stop looking away from Lindsey. He merely shook his head in disappointment. Not at Lindsey, but at himself. Look at what he had done. He was a monster! A greedy monster. Thankfully he knew that it wasn't too late ... it was never too late. He could make everything - if not completely better - close to being a whole lot better. It was the least he could do. Everything about this was his fault. All of it.
He then looked at Kingston. He couldn't imagine what he was thinking right now. He had used his best friend as a tool to get to Amelia. But ... it was complicated. He sighed and took in a deep breath. He might as well tell them everything. Not just that he was a greedy monster, but more. He placed a hand up to silence them all. It was his turn to talk whether they liked it or not.
He then looked at Amelia. He gave her a look that was one that she had probably never seen before. It was one of sadness, guilt, and even more than that. His ocean blue eyes were twinkling, but it wasn't the same. He had gotten himself into this mess; now it was time to get out. He then faced Lindsey and walked toward her.
Before he spoke, he grabbed hold of her hand. He knew that this was probably going to make everything worse, but he had something in mind. Maybe it would help the two of them see something they never saw before. He had seen it, even though Kingston - Lindsey would probably do the same - laughed and said that they were only best friends. "I'm sorry," he said, reminding himself to breathe. "I know that I've hurt you so much. But there is a reason why I'm doing this now ... rather then later. ..."
He continued to hold her hand, but he knew that the time for that would be over. He smile weakly at her and continued on, "I was a git. A big one too. I was just being stupid by thinking that I could get Mia back by making her jealous by kissing Lindsey. I was wrong. It might've made her jealous, but I noticed something that I thought wouldn't happen. I fell in love with you, Lindsey.
"Yes, I fell in love with her. I was not only in love with her, but with Mia as well. Even though I was in love with both, I chose Lindsey. Mia said that we should move on, and so I did. That was until I realized that there was more between this connection between you, Lindsey, and Kingston. ... Even though Kingston probably didn't mean it, he said that I was Lindsey's messenger. That I was just looking out after him for her. And Kingston was one of the main topics we always seemed to discuss. I might be wrong, but I think there's more than being 'just best friends' between you both, Lindsey and Kingston."
He paused and looke from Lindsey to Kingston. Then he looked back at Lindsey, his hand still holding hers. "That was when it clicked. I realzied that you two had this connection that was better - more fit - and that I truely belonged with Mia. I realized that I shouldn't be with you, Lindsey. I believe that you would be better off with Kingston than me. ... He knows you better than I ever will. I didn't want to be in the middle of this," Tancred said, holding her hand firmer he lead her to Kingston and placed her hand in his. He didn't know whether they were going to rip his head off for it, but why should they hide it?
"I know that you two never really saw it, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that does," he said, taking his place next to Mia. "I know that I made things worse by getting in between you. I wouldn't have thought ... until now." He looked at Amelia and then back at Kingston and Lindsey. "I'm doing this for the greater good. ... Lindsey, you belong with Kingston. I know that I was there for you, but I'm not for you. ... I do care for you. That's why I'm doing this. You're better off without me as your boyfriend. You're better off with the one who has known you longer than I have; who has a much better connection with you than I do. That person, is the one you're holding hands with now."
He looked at the two and then back at Amelia. His eyes kept on going back and forth between them. Then he had decided his last few words to say before he let them decided who would take care of him first for doing such a thing. He would deserve everything they would decide to do to him. "I've done too much damage. I just hope that this helped. ... I'm sorry."

Kingston didn't want to end up jumping on someone and getting hurt in the end. He'll look bad, then.
His left eye gave an obvious twitch once he heard Lindsey's whisper. What?! She was a tool for Tancred?! Kingston felt rage fill him and he was about to jump on the boy, but held himself just for Lindsey's sake. He wouldn't want her to pull him off of the boy. Or, to be more realistic, pull the boy off of him. And besides, he had to stay strong for her. Instead, Kingston glared daggers at the older boy, hoping he'll regret every bit he had done.
Kingston's gaze then shifted to Mia. It was hard to do so, but it was done. He glared at her. How could she let HIM do that to his Lindsey?! All this time they were both pawns in Rose and Adara's silly game. Kingston and Lindsey were tools. Well, mostly Lindsey, but he felt for her. He didn't want her to feel like something less than she already was. She was more than a pawn. Much more.
His gaze once more turned to Adara. What does the boy want now?! Does he want to stomp on her heart some more? Kingston was about to step in, to stop all of this once he held her hand, but instead he stood silently, listening to what the boy had to tell Lindsey.
Every word coming out of his mouth made Kingston angrier. His eye kept twitching in a worrying way. His fingers dug deep into Heath's shoulder, not really intending to hurt the boy, but he was trying to control his emotions. He didn't want to cause a scene by jumping at Tancred and biting him. That would be wrong. He gave another twitch when the boy confessed his love to her. What was this?! This was absurd!
Although, he seemed to calm down when Adara brought up Kingston. His tension was relieved a bit, but there was still some in him. He listened more closely now, wondering what he'll say next. After a few moments, his eyes widened. He was more fit to Lindsey? How could that be? Is that even possible? Yes, he did love her. He found out he loved her from their letteres, he just never thought it was possible for them to get together.
His throat felt like it was closing in on him once Tanc led Lindsey to Kingston and placed her hands into his. At that moment, he held onto her hands, not letting it go. What if he said was true? True, Kingston hated the boy with passion, although, what if he said was true? Gulping, he looked down at Lindsey, hoping she felt what he was feeling. He knew that he was in love with her, but was she in love with him?
Kingston blinked at the boy when he apologized. When he told them he had done so much damage to what they were having. There wasn't even a relationship between them! They were just best friends! Best friends who stuck together like glue, who fought and bickered at the most silliest things, who worried over the other and...
Oh.
This was all too confusing. Kingston couldn't focus right now. His mind was fogged up and it couldn't let him think straight. Let Lindsey decide what will become of them. Kingston could just wash away those feelings he had for her. It'll take time, but he could do it if she wanted them to stay only as friends. Although, deep inside, he didn't want her to deny and reject him. He wanted her to accept her.
He wanted her to love him.

She could feel her eyes become irritated and blurry, and her cheeks were stained, but she at least wasn’t sobbing. Her eyes were filled with tears, but it was almost a reflex. She wasn’t aware of it at all.
She couldn’t see much past it all. She’d known it. She’d known she was a tool, she’d known she’d meant nothing to Tancy, to the Tancy she knew. It had all been for Amelia. It had all been for himself, everything, everything had been for himself. Because that was the man she hadn’t seen. She’d gotten herself caught up in something that hadn’t been real.
She barely heard a word Tancred said all along. Her thoughts were racing too quickly. She knew, she knew! She knew about Amelia, she knew what Amelia felt, and she let it happen! She knew, she knew what had happened before her eyes. She knew she didn’t belong, that she was always on the tip of his tongue. She knew, because she doubted and she questioned, and she’d stopped trusting. She knew, and she let it happen.
But why?
Her thoughts were racing, memory after memory overlapping and smashing together. She’d let it happen. How could’ve she let it happen? She knew about it, she knew about it all, so why hadn’t she stopped it? Why had she fought so hard to save it? There was nothing to save! She didn’t belong to Tancy!
Her hand was limp in Tancred’s, her stare blank. She didn’t see him, she didn’t see the world around her. Why. That’s what she kept asking. Why had she let it happen?
Why hadn’t she trusted herself? Why had she let it happen? Why hadn’t she given in, and let herself know that this was all wrong? She knew it was all wrong. She knew, deep down, she didn’t belong. She’d never belonged.
Why… why… why had she been so afraid? What was it about Tancred that had kept her slaved to him? What was it that she kept fighting to hold on to? Why hadn’t she trusted Kingston?
Kingston.
Kingston.
It rung in her head as clear as she’d ever heard anything.
Kingston. Kingston. Kingston. Kingston.
Of course. Kingston.
Kingston had been with her. She felt the air of reluctance when she was with Tancy, she felt the air that she’d needed Kingston’s approval. She knew she trusted Kingston beyond anything and anyone, she wanted him to know. She wanted him… she wanted him to tell her no. She had wanted him to tell her to leave Tancy. That’s what she had been waiting for.
She wanted… she wanted Kingston to care. She wanted Kingston to care enough to stop her. She wanted Kingston to see it too, to know her better than anyone, to know what was good for her and stop her. She wanted Kingston to realize for her, to know her, to understand her, she wanted Kingston to—
She wanted Kingston.
If Kingston had seen all that she had. If Kingston had gone deep enough to find her in this relationship, to see she was being trampled on, he would’ve stopped her. It would’ve meant he cared, that he wanted her, that he cared for her wellbeing. It would’ve meant he was serious about her, that she was his true friend that he wouldn’t have—
Of course.
That he wouldn’t have rejected her.
That was why. There was her shinning reason. If she stuck with Tancy enough, Kingston would’ve seen it, and he would’ve fought for her, and she would know. She would know. If he cared enough to fight for her, then she would’ve never been rejected.
Of course!
It all made sense now! Of course, of course! That was why she’d been so stupid! That was why she’d stuck to something that only made her feel worse and worse! That was why she was so miserable, why she insisted Tancy and Kingston have contact! She wanted him to see, she’d wanted him to know, she’d wanted him to fight!
And suddenly, it came with a crash that blew the air out of her lungs.
But he hadn’t.
He hadn’t fought for her.
He hadn’t stopped her, he hadn’t done anything to Tancy. He hadn’t told her what he thought, maybe he hadn’t seen it at all. He didn’t care beyond friendly matters, he hadn’t cared enough to stop her. He hadn’t cared enough to fight for her.
She’d been rejected.
And the painful force of that was stronger than she ever imagined.
She’d been holding quite still, eyes blank and dazed. Suddenly, her hand was in Kingston’s, she realized, and she looked up at him.
Oh God, he’d rejected her.
Her other hand flew to her lips, but it was too late. A choked sob left her lips, and before she knew it several more. Before she knew it she was running out, she was getting away, she needed air. Her best friend, her best friend, Kingston!
Kingston didn’t love her.

Kingston was delighted. Never was he happy. First he got to see Lindsey and then her boyfriend broke up with her. Not something he wanted to happen since her heart would be broken, but that meant he could have her all to himself.
She could be his.
Finally.
He was about to say something, but when he looked down, he saw tears in her eyes. Kingston was going to pull her into a hug and tell her that everything would be fine, but she pulled away from him, running into the street. What had just happened?! Why did she pull away like that?!
Was he... Was he rejected?
Kingston gawked at the door, speechless. What was he supposed to do now? He couldn't leave her like that all alone the street. He had to do something!
At that moment, it was decided. Shaking his head to snap himself out of whatever he was in, Kingston look back at Tancred and inhaled. "I'm not happy that you used her as a pawn. I'm not happy that you somehow manipulated her into loving you and convinced yourself to love her. For Merlins' sake I'm not happy!" Kingston told him truthfully. "But..." He paused hesitantly.
"Thank you for the push. Now if you'll excuse me. I have to find the girl I love and tell her that," he smiled, giving a nod to the both of them. Kingston then looked down at Heath and pushed him towards Amelia and Tancred. "You stay with them." He told the boy before dashing out of the room himself.
Kingston had to tell her he loved her.
She has to know. She just has to.

Kingston ran out of the store and into the street. Where had the redhead gone to now?! He ran from the store to the spot they met at and didn't see her there. He thought hard about the other places she would go to. Merlins, what if she went back to the girls school?! Kingston couldn't tell her he loved her in a letter! That would be unethical!
"Lindsey!" Kingston called out, not caring if people saw him. He needed to find her.

She didn't know how she could keep running. She was crying endlessly, choking on breath and her own sobs and to top it off, she was running. Her legs burned and ached painfully, but it wasn't long until her chest did too. She couldn't breathe if she kept this up. She couldn't breathe at all, actually.
She was forced to stop. In a rather clear part in the streets, Lindsey brought herself to a halting stop, breathing heavily and still, choking on sobs. She'd heard her name some few steps back, it wouldn't take long for him to find her. She’d stopped somewhere relatively clear, still crying, but no longer running. She was too tired to keep running, from every single thing.
“You don’t love me,” she whispered. She didn’t know if he was with her or not, or even if he’d seen her, or how far off he was. “You don’t love me. You don’t love me.”

There was a rather big distant between the two and Kingston looked at her, his blue eyes glistening with what seemed to be happiness. He smiled. It was a sweet smile, a reassuring one. He had never felt like this.
Suddenly, everything around them, the noises, the sounds, everything and everyone disappeared. It was only the both of them, Kingston and Lindsey. That's all he could see. She was the only one he could see. He never realized this before. But now he did. And Kingston couldn't be any happier.
She had been there through everything he had gone through. She was there to fuss over him. She was there to tell him off, to argue with him, to tease him, to let him have fun, to let him open up.
Merlins he loved her.
Covering the distant between them with three steps he brushed his knuckles against her cheek and gave a sweet chuckle. "You silly, silly girl," he whispered, brushing away her tears. "If I didn't love you, would I have followed you and called out your name in the street? If I didn't love you would I have constantly owled you?" he asked her, pulling her closer to him. Looking into her eyes, his own twinkling, he smiled. "If I didn't love you... would I do this?" He asked. But before she could even reply, he leaned down and kissed her.
He would be lying if he said he didn't dream about this moment. He would be lying if he said that he never stayed up at nights thinking about her, wondering what she was doing, was she okay.
He would be lying if he said he didn't love her. Because he did.
Kingston loved Lindsey.
He simply loved her.

And despite the fact that he didn’t love her, that he had never fought for her, it did make her feel better.
She felt him come closer, and she brushed away tears to see him clearly. His blue eyes shone remarkably, much clearer than anything else she was seeing around her. And they mesmerized her.
It was surprising that spite of it all, she almost laughed as he called her silly. Of course he’d go off and say that. She didn’t reply, she didn’t think she was able to, but she was instantly aware of what he was planning. He said it in his eyes, in the way his hands brushed away her waterfalls of tears. And then he didn’t need to say anything at all.
It was a tender kiss, and it meant so much more than the one her memory had stored when she was fourteen. He didn’t need to say a thing more because everything was suddenly sparkling clear. He did love her. It was impossible to deny, it was impossible not to see her.
Unfortunately, the thought had the worst effect.
She laughed.
She laughed against his lips, that same bubbly and giddy laughter she’d shared with him when she’d first seen him that afternoon, that felt millenniums away. She was happy, and she laughed. She laughed, her arms clinging to him in a hug again. “How did we manage this?” she laughed, holding onto him tightly. “How did we manage to be so silly, so blind?”

He blinked once she laughed against his lips, although, he laughed along with her after a few moments. He was happy. They were happy. But more importantly, she was happy. And that's all he cared about right now.
Clinging onto her, he rested his chin above her head and shrugged. "I'm not silly. You're the silly girl, remember?" Kingston asked with a small smile. "But I have been blind. All this time you were in front of me and I couldn't see that. I'm sorry for being so blind, so arrogant, so ridiculous for not realizing this any sooner. I love you," he whispered the last bit, kissing the top of her head and holding her closely.

She smiled as his chin came on top of her head. She'd never realized they fit like that. She hugged him, still crying because tears seemed impossible to stop. She stayed like that, tucked in close with him, a smile on her lips. "Fine, then I'll be silly and you'll be blind. Because I knew, I knew what I wanted and I was too silly to admit it. "You were always silly. You've always been my silly girl. You should know that," he whispered back with a genuine smile. "And I have been blind for not seeing this. If you were the type that would give up, I would probably be lost. Now I feel... I feel happy." Kingston told her, pulling back to look down on her. "For the first time in a very long time, I feel happy and it's all because of you. You make me smile. I've realized this. You make me laugh, you make me smile. You even make me melt. She smiled, molding into his chest as she stayed tucked underneath his chin. She really was silly, and she deserved the title. At least, the added ‘my’ was nice. She smiled. Actually, she was beaming. She had fought and fought to be his friend, and this had been her ultimate purpose. For his happiness, for his friendship.
She pulled back, her eyes shinning with pure love and happiness as he begun to speak again. The grin across her lips slowly begun to grow, and her eyes slowly begun to fill with even more and more tears. She found herself laughing again, filled with pure joy, and she kissed him again. Because she could. And she very deeply wanted to.
It went without saying all the things he did to her. All those wonderful giddy feelings, that happy rush that the world was a happy place, that everything was right. That she could be so happy, that she could smile so easily, that she could laugh as if it was breathing. And he did this to her. That giddy, happy, loving feeling.
“I thought it was impossible to make you happy,” she laughed, teasing him. She had to tease him, where would they be if she didn’t?
