Technically technical all the time Bookaholic Snape looked up at Kristi and actually laughed. As much as he abhorred the sound of it, he actually laughed. The absurdity of this entire situation was just too much. “Marcella tells me to spend time with you. You tell me to spend time with Marcella. You two think too much alike. I suppose that is why you have become friends,” he mused. “But, I think you deserve my attention more than Marcella.” “No… Well, maybe I deserve it, you being my father and all but, we’ve never spent a lot of time with one another. I think you should spend it with Marcella. You were right in what you said to Marcella. I’ll be fine. I mean, yes, I’m concerned for you but, I don’t think I could handle your constant attention,” she said but, sensing his guilty thoughts over how he didn’t raise her properly or ever truly love her as a daughter, she continued. “That’s just not the way our relationship works. It doesn’t mean you don’t love me. You just love me differently than other fathers and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.”
Kristi walked over to her father. “Go and find her. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to be locked up in Azkaban, you owe it to Marcella to tell her how you feel. You seemed to manage just fine with me,” she laughed tugging on his hands to get him to rise and then pushing him toward the door.
