His heart stopped a bit as she kissed her palm and then pressed her palm to his arm. Ohmigosh, she was trying to kill him. Literally just make him have a heart attack. ARG! He couldn't take this. The tension was driving him mad. All he wanted to do was jump up and yell Anna! I like you, ok? Not Cora, YOU!
But he couldn't. She'd think he was a loony and run screaming from the shed.
"Um, thanks. It...feels a lot better," he said with a chuckle as his face flushed again. Well, if he couldn't find the words, his cheeks were going to be a dead giveaway one of these days.
"Hey! It's Cale," he chuckled, sticking his tongue out at her. "Caleb is just...weird."
Anna nodded as Cale explained about what happened in Borr's class. Then he got to the part about the class...well, yeah...and Anna started giggling. That was definitely one time when she was glad she went to another school. She couldn't imagine being stuck in a room with all that going on.
"Maybe the cookies are from Professor Melita...?" she said, thinking it over. "She makes them all the time. She was passing them out in class the other day, but it was when I was technically still a little bit afraid of the ministry professors, so I didn't take one. Now I know for sure NEVER to take them!"
"Cale...Caleb, one little letter doesn't make a difference, does it now, Mister Prefect?" she asked, teasing him. "I'm just kissing - KIDDING - Cale." She stopped rambling on and on for a bit and just let what she'd just said sink in. She was surely a blabbermouth if she did say so herself. It was a wonder he was even still here sitting with her after the palm episode, and now this.
"Have you heard why Hogwarts was closed to us?" she asked. "I was really looking forward to going there to see, well...all my friends, you know," she said. She'd almost said "Going down there to see YOU!" She was really losing all ability to keep her little secret safe.
