Remus could not trim another cm from his nails so he made sure the work area was neat, then rose to get the cookie. He returned to his seat and as he sat down he placed his hankerchief in his lap. He then proceeded to appear to nibble on the cookie, but in reality he only brought the cookie to his mouth but did not eat any of it. After that he brought the cookie down to the edge of the table and using his other hand, which he was keeping in his lap, he would break a tiny piece off and place it in hankerchief. His plan was to wrap the crumbs in the cloth, then throw it away after class.
