Double Agent Stamps! "Right boss. Happy Hunting." Edward watches Forrester and Beth leave. He goes and gets the auror's camera off one of the chairs in the living room "I'm going to take pictures of the crime scene, Alexa. I'll be in the bedroom. Holler if you need me."
Edward goes to the bedroom and starts taking pictures. He starts with other side of the room taking pictures of the furniture and other furnishing. When he gets over to the dresser, Edward takes out his notebook and quick quote quill to take dictation. "Standard flat bedroom. Furniture is nondescript. One window with matching curtains and shade. Pink flower print similar to the muggle Laura Ashley Collection of bedroom linens." Edward takes a picture of the chair by the chest of drawers. "Chair contains a red, long, sleeve, turtleneck sweater and khaki colored skirt. Brown shoes are on the floor next to the chair." Edward walks over to the bed. "Night table contains a photo of a young girl and a middle aged man probably the victim and her father." Edward opens the night tabld drawer. Finally found a diary for the victim. This may have some useful information. Edward conjures a bag, places the diary in it, tags it as evidence, and levitates it to the living room. "Waste paper basket under the night table. It's been emptied out recently. Basket matches curtains and shade. There's something strange about this room. It looks like someone just cleaned it. There's a small amount of dust on the furniture, but nothing like in the living room. Bed has white sheets and pillow case. Where's the bedspread or comforter?"
Edward walks into the adjoining bathroom. "Shower curtain matches curtains in bedroom. Bathroom also has a matching waste paper basket. Funny the one in the bathroom is overflowing." Edward opens the medicine cabinet. "Usual stuff in medicine cabinet. Headache potion, antiseptic potion, this looks interesting." Edward takes a bottle out of the cabinet. "Mix one teaspoonful in two onces of water, take at night, birth control potion, The Apothecary Shoppe, Diagon Alley." Edward conjures a bag, marks it as evidence. "What's this?" Edward takes another bottle down. It contains an amber colored potion. "Take as directed, no potion name, Dolohoff Apothecary. Where have I heard that name before?" Edward remembers. The cold case files Forrester had had him read when he arrived. Dolohoff Apothecary has been raided about three times in the last two years. He's been suspected of selling illegal potion supplies out the back of his shop among other things. Edward bags and tags this bottle too.
He goes back to the bedroom. The missing bedspread still bothers him. Someone goes to the trouble to have curtains, waste paper baskets and a shower curtain that all match. They usually have sheets and a comforter or bedspread that matches too. Then there's the sheets. Forrester said he thought the victim was returned to her flat alive, but unconscious. She fought with her attacker and was killed in the bedroom. If things happened like Forrester believes, how do you explain the sheets and pillow? The killer should have put the victim in her bed. Then how do you explain the sheets and pillow case? They look like the bed has just been made. Edward takes a picture of the bed and dresser. "Usual stuff you find on a woman's dresser. Brush, comb, lotion, other tolietry items." Edward notices a bottle of perfume. "Twilight, special blend perfume, made exclusively by The Perfume Factory, Diagon Alley." Edward remembers buying Maddie a bottle for her last birthday. That bottle cost him about 20 galleons fifteen years ago. The price has probably doubled now. "How does the owner of a modest book store no one has heard of afford an expensive bottle of perfume? More inportantly how does a cleark at the Magical Menagerie afford it. They must be paying clerks better than they used to." Edward bags and tags this too.
Edward walks over to the body and squats down. Using his wand, he draws a white line around the outline of the body. Edward takes various pictures of the body. "No apparent cuts, bruises, or scratches. Victim's body looks in good condition considering she's dead. Starting at the head, he takes close up shots of body. "Red turtleneck sweater, khaki skirt, and green sandals. What's wrong with this picture? For one thing she shouldn't have green sandals on with a khaki skirt. There was a brown purse in the living room. If that's the purse she used that evening, then she should be wearing brown shoes unless she took another purse instead. Now where could it be?" Edward scans the room no green purse. He then get on his hands and knees and looks under the bed. "Accio purse!" A green clutch purse flies from under the bed and into Edward's hands. "A green leather evening bag with dried blood on one side. Interesting...." Edward bags it. "Alexa! Could you come to the bedroom? I need your help?" |
