Melissa Bruns really wasn't excited about her classes being over. They had been a nice escape from the students at school. Mellie enjoyed sitting through classes; she enjoyed entertaining her mind with something other than the mindless chatter and gossip she usually had to endure.

Clutching her books across her chest, Mellie walked swiftly out to the lake. She was going to start on her homework right away. The Hufflepuff had never been overly bright naturally, so she worked very hard for her good marks.

Once the fifth year found a broad, shady tree, she took a seat and opened to the beginning of her Charms book. The girl was reading quite intently; she wasn't even aware of the couples (and one certain single boy) also spending spare time at the lake.
