Even holding it, Juniper could tell it would be too long, but it was perfect for her. Juniper slipped into the dress and held up the length of the skirt as she ran after Issy and Melina.
“Issy!” Juniper squeaked as she caught up to her friend. “Mine’s too long. Will you help me figure out where to hem it?”
"JUNIIII!" The first year squealed with her broad grin. She was far too happy to be shy at that moment. Far too happy. Besides, Juniper was wearing such a pretty dress herself that she could not possibly keep silent! "You're beautiful!" She said at once the moment Juni looked at her. And she really was. Though she didn't know the girl that well, she could see that the dress fit her personality perfectly and so, it was natural that she and the gown were a perfect match.

Twirling, she let her robes float up slightly. "Is mine pretty, too, Melly? Juni? Oh you guys are so pretty! Becca PUT YOURS ON!"
Bright eyes came out hopeful and Issy slung her arms around the shoulders of Juni and Melly. Oh, she felt like such a princess! A pretty princess!
Seeing that Issy was now busy helping the other girls, Melina looked at herself in the mirror and wrinkled her nose. She'd have to make the dress fit her by herself and that would be no easy task. Still, she had asked for some practice with her wand and it seemed like that was exactly what she was required to do. She only hoped she wouldn't ruin that beautiful piece of clothing or she'd never, ever, ever forgive herself.
Taking a deep breath, she looked at Issy as she fixed Juniper's dress and imitated her, speaking the same words as her friend, though pointing at her own dress and then, in a second or two, the dress shrunk so that it fit her perfectly. In just a few seconds, the clothe was glued to her body making it look as if that had always been the size of the dress.
Once she heard Issy gasping, Melly turned around at once with an enormous beam that touched her sparkly eyes. Her first spell. She had done her first spell! "Do I?" She asked, looking at her image in the mirror again. Oh Merlin, SHE DID! She was a princess! Princess Melly! Oh, how she wanted to bounce around and dance in that flowy, beautiful dress! Hopefully they would be allowed to do that. After all, didn't even dancing have its own etiquette?
"YES!," She breathed, clapping her hands twice and even jumping up and down a bit. Ecstatic, that was what she was.

To seat yourself, you move up flush to the table and sit down. Do not pause or hesitate, simply trust that he will be there and sit. If you hesitate, you disturb the natural rhythm established in his motions and you will be shoved into the table or you will miss the chair completely. Just like in defensive dueling, you have to react immediately and instinctively, and you have to trust your companions."
"When you are ready, please move to the table, let the chair pull out, and sit down immediately. I have charmed the chairs to move in as soon as you step flush to the table, so DO NOT HESITATE."
It was only when she heard the professor that Mel decided it was time to calm down as much as possible in order to listen to her orders, so as to say. And once she did, she couldn't help but happily walk to the table, following Issy. First, she watched her friend do it, eventually letting out a tiny giggle as the girl failed and then it was her own time to do it.
Nodding, she pulled a straight face, only allowing a small smile on her lips. She was dressed like a princess so she was going to act like one, which she did. As gracefully as her tiny body allowed her, she stepped towards the chair and waited for it to move and once she did, she sat on it without hesitation.
Beaming, she turned to Issy and giggled. "I did it!"
