Daphne shook her head.
"No, ma'am, I haven't, thankfully. I've swerved to avoid a few close calls though," she noted proudly. She looked at one picture in which Wystan was swinging her bat wildly at a small seeker. Daphne imagined herself in the picture, being chased around by a mad beater. She shook her head to get the horrid image out of her head.
When Daphne heard
The Beater's Bible, her heart dropped. Her mum always brought up the book when she argued against her daughter playing Quidditch.
"Rule One: Take out the Seeker," she said, head held high. She wasn't going to appear intimidated.
"That rule's made me a better seeker, forced me to be more aware," she smirked, looking the demonic instructor in the eyes.
