He bit his lip and surveyed her once more. She had to be serious...but how could she be serious?! "We have no tour here because this is the Department of Mysteries. It's not our job to point out to out employees where we keep all of our secrets. If there were a fire, Mrs. Zitsburg, I would hope you'd know how to handle it well enough that I won't have to be held responsible for your death. But, as it goes, if you were to die within my Department, I don't think we'd have much trouble...covering the situation to where no one needs to be blamed."
His eyes met hers, looking for a response. "As for my name, Mr. Wright is appropriate. If you really want, I could show you to your Division, but I do hope you'll remember for future workdays?"
He stood up from behind his desk and realized he towered over her, which was strange, as he wasn't exceptionally tall himself. He gestured to the door, hoping she'd follow. He did need to speak to Kirk as soon as possible to get the details of his absence.
