Lola could have sworn she had seen him, but her memory wasn't her strongest feature. She shrugged it off. "Oh, sorry don't mind me," she chuckled. She slowly drank water from her cup. Her lipstick came off and was left on the glass. She had forgotten all about her make-up. She rarely wore it, but she got dolled up for the event.

Picking up her purse, she looked into it. The interior was far bigger than the bag, which made finding things incredibly difficult. The first thing she saw was her wand. She wrapped her fingers around it and pulled it out of the enlarged bag, which was significantly smaller than the wand. Holding it up, she muttered "Lumos," and the tip glowed. She wasn't sure if she was allowed to do magic at the ceremony, but it was a simple spell to look into her bag. Laying it on the table, she opened it wide and stuck the lit end into the tiny purse. With everything illuminated, she quickly found her pocket mirror.

Looking at her reflection, she hardly recognized herself. Her mum always wanted her to wear make-up more often, and for the first time she really understood why. She grabbed her wand again and looked into the bag, grabbing her lipstick. She carefully applied the bright red shade of lipstick. It made her skin look fair and clean, contrasting with her natural colour. She smiled into the mirror, then quickly put it in the bag.

"Nox," she said, and dropped her wand back into the bag. Shutting it, she set it down on the floor. She smiled, feeling more comfortable with herself. She took off the matching deep purple sweater she wore over her dress robes. She revealed the sleeveless dress robe with silver embroidered flowers that went from the front around to the back. She looked out at the purple dance floor, but she didn't think she was quite ready to dance just yet.
