But then something that Dan said made him laugh loudly. And it took alot to get Clifford to laugh at the moment. "Me? Captain? You have gotta be kidding." He snorted. "I wouldn't even be able to lead an army of ants to a picnic, let alone Slytherin to victory!" Nooo way.
Will smiled, overhearing Clifford's remarks.
"I seem to remember you're a dang fine player..." he said to Clifford, settling back in the carriage.
"But I happen to know that this term the captain is Desdemonda Abendroth- she's that fifth year German chick who always wears a top hat. She'll be a great captain- she's a good player and really knows how to crack the whip." He admitted glumly.
"My mum and her mum are best friends. So I know her way better than I'd choose, if it were up to me."
He brightened.
"Hey, if they do keep us segregated, maybe they'll pick a male captain two, and have a girls' team and a guys' team? That'd be Shweeet! I bet they'd make you the male captain, if that happens."
