She found it unfair to get ahead than everyone else her age. She wouldn't need to use magic anyway if she were to travel. She would be around muggles, magic wasn't necessary. That was, if dreams of traveling were realized. And she'd learn of this muggle CIS thing, or whatever it was called, maybe some other muggle would know about it too. And, she'd be able to stick it to him that she knew what it was.

Whatever she'd planned to say, whatever she'd meant to reply, whatever she'd been thinking or meant to do or whatever required a brain to function; it went blank. He was holding her hand. He was holding her hand!! And Merlins did it feel nice. His grip fit hers, and his hands were warm, or maybe she was just cold. Whatever it was, it felt wonderful.

She couldn't reply anymore, but thankfully, smiling didn't require much thinking, and after half a second of staring, she smiled up at him a touch shyly, and much much happily.

Anyway, gossip usually found it's way to Amelia and that wouldn't be good at all. Or would it? It would make thier relationship worse, but something told him that it might make things better somehow. He didn't know. All he knew now was that he liked being with Lindsey. That was all that was on his mind right now. Lindsey.

He looked deeply into Lindsey's light brown eyes. There were filled with happiness and they twinkled just like his ocean blue eyes were right now. He was happy, even though he had feelings for another. Or did he? Lindsey was so distracting. He liked it. A lot. He smiled at her brightly and couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was perfect. She was everything he could have wanted. All he had to do was tell her what he was feeling, but something was stopping him from doing so. Something he couldn't ignore. Something he wished would go away. It was his conscience. You know. Mia won't be too happy to see this if she was here, he conscience echoed. Shut up. She said she couldn't do it. She said that we could be just friends. She moved on, he argued back. It's time to move on.

Finally reaching the front of the train, the seventh year slowed her pace to peer into each compartment, looking for an empty one. Or with some familiar face in there. But then she saw in one the last person she really wanted to see right now. Tancred.

Cautiously looking into the open door she blinked as she saw something she thought her eyes were deceiving her. Tancred was not alone, but instead he was sitting next to the rather attractive Lindsey Hamilton. And holding her hand! She could have killed him right there, but instead she felt herself losing consciousness.

Before she could help herself, there was a soft thud as the 5'7 seventh year hit the floor of the compartment. Fainted...

It was a simple picture of the outside of her house. She looked at it fondly and a little twinge of homesickness shot through her gut. Not for the people so much as for the building itself. She always missed the little cottage when she was away from it. It was the best thing about coming home. Her little room in the attic, the vines creeping up the sides, the huge tree covering the left side. It was her favorite place in the world.

She was just starting to absorb herself when she heard a thump from outside the compartment door. She looked up in alarm at Tancred and the girl to see if they had heard. Then she stood up and walked to the door. Laying on the floor was a girl. She was surprisingly like Elodie herself, what with the red hair. But shaking this thought out of her head Ella knelt down next to her, frantically trying to figure out what to do. She glanced back at the others desperately looking for help. Grabbing the girls arm she shook her, "Wake up!" She said stupidly.

As he was walking by a compartment full of Hufflepuffs (one of whom looked familiar), he felt a thud, and suddenly, there were only three. Hadn't there just been four? He peeked through the window and noticed that one was unconscious on the floor! He knocked on the window and mouthed "does she need help?"

He heard a soft thud in the compartment. He wanted to continue staring at Lindsey, but he wanted to know where the heck that thud came from. He took a few moments to look at her and then looked around the compartment. When his eyes reached the floor, he was shocked and confused. Mostly confused. How in Merlin's beard did she show up? When did she show up? Why now?

He looked at Lindsey. He gave her a look of puzzlement and blinked. His heart was beating quicker than it ever had in his entire life. What should I do? he mouthed out to her. He honestly didn't know what to do. This was the first time in his life that he was in a serious sticky situation. He didn't want to stop gazing in Lindsey's eyes. He didn't want her to be upset. He stared at her with eyes so wide that it looked like his eyes could pop out at any moment.

And they were twinkling back at hers, showing she wasn't the only one that was happy, even if she'd fallen utterly silent. She squeezed his hand lightly herself, almost in gratitude.

It was then that something happened behind her, although Lindsey might never make sense of what had happened. The scare, however, caused her to move closer to Tanc without even thinking about it. There was someone just lying on the floor there. And-- was that... Amelia?!

"Oh--God!" she gasped, barely making it out. She glanced back at Tancy without even ordering her head to do anything, maybe for reassurance that there was no reason to worry. He, however, looked just as shocked and puzzled as she. That didn't help.

'Stop panicking!' she thought quickly. What was she supposed to do when someone... well what was wrong with her? She looked like she'd.. fainted? Her muscles refused to move, maybe because she was still clinging to Tancy's hand, and maybe because it wasn't only his hand that was warm, and she was comfortable closer to him.

"What's wrong with her? What happened?" she asked the two that were surrounding Amelia, panic still keeping her from moving. Panic had never gotten to her before... how odd...

She looked up at the boy who had walked in. "Do you want to try the water.." She paused trying to recall his name, then realized she didn't know it. "I'm sorry, who are you again?" She laughed a little at, this was definitely an odd way to meet someone.

He looked down at Amelia. The fanning didn't seem to be working as much as he had hoped. "Well, I'm not doing underage magic on a 7th year, AND a prefect, so I'll go get some water from a sink or something."

With that, he exited the compartment and went to the men's room. As he entered, he noticed that he was getting a bit scruffy again. He'd need to shave soon. But he pushed that to the back of his mind.

He rummaged around for a cup, and once he found one, filled it with water. Carefully, he made his way back to the compartment (so as not to spill the water). He opened the door again and said, "Got some water."

He was nervous about pouring water on a prefect's face, but considering he was unconscious, he figured she wouldn't mind it. She might even thank him. He poured the water on her face, thinking, here goes.

He continued to sit there, holding Lindsey's hand tighter. He didn't want to leave her for her, but he didn't want to leave Lindsey for her. He didn't know what to do, so he just sat there the way he was. Frozen. His heart was still beating faster than ever, his eyes still opened wide. This couldn't be happening! It just couldn't.

He ducked under the arm of another Ravenclaw and caught the sight of a Captain's badge to find Amelia on the floor. "Hey! What happened?" He looked around to find the Hufflepuff prefect nearby.

"Honk!"

And then she felt it. Water over her other cheek - the one that was up towards the ceiling. Eyes flickered slightly but she remained still unconscious - in another world.

She was suddenly turned around by Tanc's hand, and she was staring right back into those blue eyes. He was telling her something, she didn't know what, but he was telling her something. And it was stopping her brain from thinking at all. And suddenly, he smiled, and it caused her to smile. She liked being held like this. It reminded her--

And again, her brain stopped. Her eyes had closed without even thinking about it, and she'd melted into Tancy's embrase. If she had been excited over holding his hand, then a kiss was sure to mean she would faint. But she didn't, and she treasured the moment. She was getting kissed by Tanc, and what was a few seconds, felt like a few years. And it felt wonderful, this heavenly little feeling accompanied by a twingle in her stomach. It felt so utterly wonderful.

But her eyes eventually fluttered open and she pulled away, breathless and shocked. She'd never-- he hadn't-- she couldn't--- She was shocked. Not complaining, but utterly shocked. She hadn't thought he felt that way about her.

All the people in here were just too much for her and then she heard the familiar voice from the stands during Ravenclaw quidditch games. She didn't know him, but he was ... nosy, that's what he was.

"I've got more than a headache,"
she said smiling as Cale stood up to stand by the doorway. She was slightly disappointed that he had glanced away from her but now she could face the matter at hand.

Standing up, perhaps too quickly, she turned to look at Tancred. "You really know how to kick a girl when she's down, don't you?" she said fiercely shaking her head at him.

And with that, she picked her messenger bag and owl cage off the floor and pushed her way to the door, storming off to go find a quieter compartment. She needed Savannah right now; that girl would know what to do.
