There Cris was, standing innocently by the counter, minding his own business and thinking up a decent gift for the happy couple, when someone bumped into him and nearly toppled over. Out of force of habit and reflex, he reached out to catch her, but apparently, the woman didn't need it. She was able to stand on her own. He shrugged when she started apologizing.
"Eh, it's not really a big deal. I'm just thankful you didn't fall on your face or anything. That'd be nasty," he commented.
