Evaline heard his comment as they carried along and felt her face flush a bit.And that came from where? She hoped he didn't see, and played it off cooly by saying, "Oh well I didn't do much" and then added, "but thank god I didn't come up here in a blue dress. You would probably have to find some one else to escort." She didn't want him to escort anyone else, but since he was already there, might as well.

Feeling him poke her from behind, she lead him him along but turned to give a quick smile and then shook her head. "Nope he hasn't. I think that boyfriend bit did the trick." she replied. She knew though this wasn't the topic he was really thinking about, but she didn't want to pry. But then again she was Evaline and he was Lance so she had to pry anyway.

Slowing down a bit, after all she wasn't in that much of a hurry, she whispered too him. "You need to talk about something?"
