Theme 48: Unbreakable Vow


“It’s a very exciting spell,” James said, nodding solemnly.

The little boy positively squealed with excitement. “Showmeshowmeshowme!” he yelled, running around the lounge, smacking his fist into a yellow sofa, and throwing an antique and highly expensive vase out of the window.

“He’s mental,” James whispered to Sirius. “Why did we agree to babysit him again?”

“Because his father’s filthy rich,” Sirius whispered back. “And because I would have had to stay with darling Regulus in the house, otherwise.” He rolled his eyes, and snorted. The little boy straightened up.

“Who snorted? Did you snort? James, did you snort? DID YOU?”

“No, you little idiot,” James said, in an undertone. Unfortunately for him, the boy heard. Thankfully, Remus intervened before fighting could ensue.

“Let’s not do anything silly, Leroy. Come here, let’s complete this jigsaw puzz –” Then he ducked, Remus, as bits and pieces of half eaten pie came flying his way. The plate followed. It hit him. “Ouch!”

“SHOWME THE UNBREAKABLE VOW, JAMEZO!” Leroy shouted at the top of his lungs. “Or I have more plates to throw at you.”

Sirius exchanged a look with James: It was high time for action. Rolling up his sleeves, James nodded.
