Theme 49: Wingardium Leviosa


Hogwarts was a charming place for the first years, even the purebloods and those who already had older siblings as students in the castle. As they half burst into the classroom for their first Charms lesson of the year, some excited, some nervous, and some just plain scared, two boys found a seat at the very back.

“I wonder what they’re going to teach us, Jamesy,” the first said. He had black hair and grey eyes, and was a little tall for his age. He was also extremely handsome – handsome enough, in fact, to have already started getting attention from the first year, female population.

“Levitation,” the second replied promptly, opening his textbook. This one had messy hair, and handsome, hazel eyes. “There it is,” he said, pointing to the textbook. “Wingardium Leviosa, that’s the incantation. Boring,” he added, stifling a yawn.

Sirius nodded. “Let’s set off the firecrackers we brought when the lesson starts.”

James’s eyes glinted with pure mischief. “Niiice. The portable swamp should help, too.” He fumbled in his bag, producing a jumble of screaming yoyos and, as he glanced towards the redheaded girl sitting not far off, what was suspiciously like a flask of love potion.
