Theme # 1: Accio


It was a fun day. The sort of fun which has no excitement, except the excitement of napping all day long after a week of hard work. James, lying flat on his back on two chairs placed closed together in the middle of the Gryffindor common room, yawned widely.

“This,” he said finally. “Is boring.” Sirius raised an eyebrow.

“I thought you said the excitement of no excitement had such an exciting degree of excitement in it that –”

“Padfoot, shut up!” It was Remus who spoke.

“No fair,” Sirius said, pretending to pout. “Those were Prongs’s words – that’s why we’re here, all of us, and not in Hogsmeade. He wanted to catch up on his sleep.” The last word was said in a manner that suggested it was exceedingly inappropriate for a prankster to indulge in such an act. Remus sighed.

“I know. We aren’t supposed to be in Hogsmeade, anyway. But could you at least let me complete my homework? Accio quill.” The quill, lying not far away, zoomed towards him. Sirius sighed, shaking his head in a rather oh-woe-is-me manner.

“How unromantic.”

James nodded at once, in agreement.

“Yes. No Lily.”
