“Ah ha. That’s what you said, but the way you said it implied something else entirely.” He replied, a smirk playing on his lips. He couldn’t resist teasing Angelina. She was the only woman he’d met so far in the ministry who brought out this slightly wicked side in him. “I’m an officer of the law, I know these things.” He tapped the side of his nose as he teased her playfully. “I know everything.”
Angelina opened her mouth to say something, but then it seemed to her that Nathan hadn’t finished talking yet, so she closed it and heard what he had to say.
The woman raised an eyebrow as she took a long slip of her coffee, it wasn’t as hot as she wished too. Still, it was coffee, and coffee was gooodd.
“Well, since you know everything I guess I have nothing more to say.” She said with a shrug and a smile. “Otherwise, I might say something that is not right..and you arrest me.” Quote:
“Ok, bumping into someone isn’t the best way of meeting someone.” He admitted, “but I least I got your attention.” Even if she didn’t know who he was, despite all the drinks he’d bought her with his pitiful wage in the Raven’s Claw. "That had been my plan all along." Er.. sarcastic much?
“It wasn’t necessary bumping into me to get my attention.”
Okay..Maybe it was, she wouldn’t have probably noticed him since she was with her head far away from there. “Oh.. It seems that you, officers of the law, have a plan for everything.” Quote:
“It’s because I work there.” Oh, she was giving him too much here. “People are just drawn to me.” He smirked. “Particularly the fairer sex.” Riiiiiight. “But seriously, I’d hate to have to plan something like a wedding. So much responsibility. And the Minister is hard to please, so I’ve heard.”
“But..of course. How could I not remember that.” She took her free hand to her chest while with the other she held her coffee. Like if there was no other reason for people to run into the MLES office.
"Still, I wouldn’t be so sure about that… perhaps people just like the MLES office decoration.. or maybe the chairs. Perhaps they are comfortable. ”[/QUOTE]
“Its not the like best work in the whole world.” She smiled with a shrug “But its not bad at all. I actually like it.”
She did. If there was something that Angelina loved as her work.
“The Minister have his days.” She said. But senior undersecretary of the minister surely knew more about that than Angelina. That woman really was an amazing worker. Quote:
Why on earth did he bring up that damn subject of winged horses again. To make conversation? Brilliant. Had he not learned from last time? Obviously not. Could he not have asked her about her broken arms instead? That would have been a much more fun topic of conversation, right? WRONG! “I’m glad.” He answered. “Because you still owe me a few lessons.” D’oh! No way! He subconsciously backed away a couple of steps from Angelina. Why did she make him so nervous that his brain froze and his mouth did all the work instead?
Ange raised an eyebrow at him.
And she was the one that was confusing. Seriously, Nathan did have some weird moments.
She was pretty sure that he had enough of the winged horse subject.. but it seemed that she was wrong about that.
The woman blinked for a little while before saying something. “Oh, I do?” she remembered that. Pretty well in fact. “And you own me a take out to muggle London.” Oh yes. She remembered that too.. and when her coffee slipped of her hands..... but that was something that wasn’t very good to be remembered.
“But.. since the MLES office , as you said, is so maniac and I’m very busy working on the Ministry’s wedding..” she started while she turned her brown eyes to the man with a smile and a slight nod. “I think we will, have to leave that for some day latter.”Someday latter .. that could be the in the next day.. next week.. next moth.. next year.. “Oh really?” he raised his eyebrows, “Good for you, love. What did you read?” he asked with genuine interest.
Good? No. There was nothing good about reading a muggle book.
Well, they were interesting but way too weird. “I don’t think that I can considerate that I’ve read it.” She said. “I only read until page ten.”Now that was something weird for her.
