“Ah ha. That’s what you said, but the way you said it implied something else entirely.” He replied, a smirk playing on his lips. He couldn’t resist teasing Angelina. She was the only woman he’d met so far in the ministry who brought out this slightly wicked side in him. “I’m an officer of the law, I know these things.” He tapped the side of his nose as he teased her playfully. “I know everything.”
“Ok, bumping into someone isn’t the best way of meeting someone.” He admitted, “but I least I got your attention.” Even if she didn’t know who he was, despite all the drinks he’d bought her with his pitiful wage in the Raven’s Claw. "That had been my plan all along." Er.. sarcastic much?
“It’s because I work there.” Oh, she was giving him too much here. “People are just drawn to me.” He smirked. “Particularly the fairer sex.” Riiiiiight. “But seriously, I’d hate to have to plan something like a wedding. So much responsibility. And the Minister is hard to please, so I’ve heard.”
Why on earth did he bring up that damn subject of winged horses again. To make conversation? Brilliant. Had he not learned from last time? Obviously not. Could he not have asked her about her broken arms instead? That would have been a much more fun topic of conversation, right? WRONG! “I’m glad.” He answered. “Because you still owe me a few lessons.” D’oh! No way! He subconsciously backed away a couple of steps from Angelina. Why did she make him so nervous that his brain froze and his mouth did all the work instead?
“Oh really?” he raised his eyebrows, “Good for you, love. What did you read?” he asked with genuine interest.
