I hope Jo wins her case, nevertheless
91% of it is hers.

How can the judge say that this is a "close call"? This whole issue seems fairly straightforward to me...
Well from a common sensical view, maybe. But in terms of legal precedent, there isn't much to go on. Which is why the decision from this case will have such an impact on the writing community as a whole.

What annoys me is that he KNEW what he was doing all along.
That's what I find especially galling. Given his profession, there's no way he didn't know he was in the wrong.

He knew that it was copyright infringement, that's why he had the clause put in that RDR would pay all legal fees when Ms. Rowling and WB came after them. I personally think it is a slap in the face to Ms. Rowling from you, her so-called die hard fans and you should be ashamed of yourself for taking their side.
He wasn't crafty enough though - Jo & WB could still sue for indirect damages and RDR could sue for breach of contract. If it goes in the favour of Jo & RDR.
But please don't judge other people's opinions. Disagree with them, debate, definitely, but please respect that everyone has the right to say and think what they want.
