Like it says in the title, this is the shortst chapter I have written, but I have a four day weekend next week so I hopefully *crosses fingers* will have one up in two weeks or less. Thanks all for reading! And now... Chapter 17
When we got into the common room, I didn’t even look to see who was in there, I just burst out, “I can’t believe what that jerk told me!” Hermione looked puzzled for a second, and I stormed over to the couch and sat right down next to Harry.
“What what jerk told you?” he asked.
“Malfoy.” I muttered without thinking. He jumped right off the couch.
“What did Malfoy tell you?” he asked, obviously trying to stay calm.
“He told me he loved me.” I muttered darkly.
“WHAT!” he yelled, making everybody in the common room, and a few people outside of the tower look at him.
“Mind you own business!” I snapped at everyone listening. I turned back to Harry.
“I think it was a plot. I think he just wanted to get my trust.” I told him, hoping he would believe me.
“A PLOT?!?” He bellowed, making people stare at him again. With one glare toward them, though, they went back to their business.
“Well, I don’t know for sure, but Pansy seemed pretty broken up when I told her that they were no longer dating.” I shrugged. Harry fumed.
“Really, I don’t think it’s a big deal. Besides, you have bigger things to worry about.” I told him. He nodded. I got up from the couch.
“I’m going to the library to do some homework. See you all at dinner.” I replied.
Homework was nothing short of painfully boring. Dinner was no better. I walked back up to the common room, went upstairs to my dormitory, and fell asleep without getting into pajamas.
