"Platinum cross platinum annoys me," Andromeda said, clearly vexed. "Oh, mother, must she court him?"

"Nonsense, Dromeda," Mrs. Black responded, displeased. "She has made an excellent match. Though, of course, I can not expect you to understand," she added, turning away. "When you refuse to stop seeing Marcus, of all people."

Andromeda flushed. "Mother! His position in the Wizarding world -"

"I do not care for his position, Dromeda!" Mrs. Black snapped. "He is a half-blood! You may leave."

Without word or glance, Andromeda stormed out of the room.
