Lainey tried very hard to ignore how Doyle stole Rae away before she got a word. It was... very hard. She succeeded though, if only for Rae's sake.

"Dia has the leeches, Doyle. The rest of you get started on the beetle eyes. And don't let me near them or I'll be squishing them up!" Lainey laughed at herself, plopped down on her bucket, and watched her lovely students.
