She was shivering uncontrollably, now. She had known the fight against the dark would be a long, hard one, but she had never thought this could happen.

Slumped against the wall of her prison, she could not help feeling scared and vulnerable: she was wandless, and at the mercy of the death eaters.

Mum. Dad. Where are you?

It felt as if she would never be free. They would torture her, kill her - she knew it. There was blood somewhere on her forehead.

The door opened, and then closed again. She heard a voice. "Tergeo."

The blood was siphoned off her forehead, the pain vanished. Then Blaise said, "Are you alright?"

"Za - Blaise?"

All those days... She was reminded of Hogwarts again. She had not seen him, even heard of him for so, so long. When he made no reply, she said,

"No. I'm not alright."

She did not know why, but she could not help it: throwing herself into his arms, she let the tears flow.

Biting his lip, Blaise held her closer to himself - He had only just got to know of their latest prisoner.

"As long as I'm around, you're safe, Gin. I promise."
