Theme # 32: Petrificus Totalus


"LEAVE ME ALONE."

Ginny's voice was angry, and Ron's was angrier when he replied.

"You don't have to go around kissing Dean in some stupid, unused classroom!"

"Just because you have the emotional capability of a three year old -"

"Petrificus Totalus!"

"Ron!" Ginny had no time to duck. Yet, oddly enough, the spell bounced off, as if it had met an invisible barrier. Moments later, Ron was flying backwards, bound up by thick, clinging ropes.

She looked around, her mind blank and vacant. She was very dimly aware that she had not done any of this, and that she was now raising her wand to untie Ron but, that aside, of nothing else.

"I didn't do it -" she began, as Ron sprang to his feet, stomping off. This little trace of apology was wiped away instantly at this action of his, and she was once again angry at his conduct and his incessant picking on her - what was it to him who she kissed? She marched off, too.

Blaise, watching the scene from behind one of the many long vases lining the hallway, wanted to tie up Dean just as he had tied up Ron, now.
