Ange blinked a couple of times before she could understand what Nathan was trying to explain to her. “Oh.” She repeated “Oh. I think I understand it now.” She told him right in the moment that he had started talking. She shrugged while she shook her head calmly. “You don’t have too.” She told him with a small smile. “If your sense of humour is horrible.. then what should I call to mine?”

With a smile Ange nodded. “Glad you believe me.” She told him.
And then he did that, again. She raised an eyebrow slightly. Not she was sure that something was wrong with his eyes.
Well, almost sure.

Angelina smiled. “Yes. I think it will.” Well, coffee usually had that effect, but since she used to drink so much of it maybe it didn’t had the effect that was supposed to on Angelina.
She was hearing him talking when her eyes turned slightly to what he was doing with his ring.
Wait. Didn’t he said that he was NOT engaged?
He said that, Angelina wasn’t crazy.. not yet, still he was using it.
Maybe.. no, that option was too bad.

Oh well, whatever. She didn’t have nothing to lose.
Still, she didn’t think that it was a good idea.
“If you say so..” She nodded while she pulled a lock of her brown hair behind her hear then smile and continued. “ I’ll have to believe until I see them.”

She nodded with a smile. Ange didn’t even knew why she was going to ask that.
To build a chat?
Nahh.
“Erm, I was just wondering.. since you like the muggles a lot, and you live like them, with them.” She took a slip for her coffee then continued. “ You were engaged with a muggle..” skip that part Ange.. “Erm, why didn’t you stayed there? I mean.. working there.”
After that, Ange was pretty sure that Nathan was plenty sure that she was nosy.
Nathan chuckled lightly. “You do?” he asked slightly surprised. His explanation had been pretty rubbish... becasue he really had no excuse at all for laughing. Laughing at someone’s misfortune was terrible. The young man just hadn’t been able to stop himself, and then trying to stop laughing once he'd started only made it all the worse – how embarrassing. No wonder this young woman had been so cold towards him. He shook his head slightly. “Your sense of humour is obviously a lot less childish than mine.”

He stopped fidgeting with his engagement ring as he became aware of Angelina watching what he was doing. She may not have even noticed he was wearing it before, this would probably confuse the woman further. He looked up at her, brushing his hair out of his eyes and gave her a weak, almost apologetic smile. It was about time he moved on with his life.

He kept eye contact with her as she spoke, asking about the reasons why he worked in the wizarding world being such a ‘muggle lover.’ He gulped when Angel mentioned the engagement again and his eyes flickered to the table briefly and then back to hers. When she had finished talking, he gave her small smile. “I worked in muggle bars for years and years. That sort of work just doesn’t pay enough.” he started. “I’m twenty four now. And living in London I needed a better paid job.” He picked up his pint and took a large gulp before continuing. “It’s extremely hard to get a ‘proper’ job in the muggle world when all you have is qualifications from a wizarding school.” He gazed into his glass as he continued. “You can’t very well show your prospective employer those, now can you?” he chuckled lightly. Employers would think he was completely mental. “True. I could have gone to a muggle university.” He shrugged. “but I was never really one for studying.” Because he had been a lazy sod at school.

He glanced down at his watch, surprised at how quickly time had passed chatting to this woman. He needed to get home and get some rest, determined to make a better impression at work tomorrow. “Well, love. I’m afraid I must love you and leave you.” He downed the remainder of his pint. “I’ll send you that owl if I don’t see you around the ministry before then.” He stood up and gave her a warm smile, “It was a pleasure to meet you.” And with that made his way out of the tiny pub.
