Corranda resisted the growing temptation to cackle at Brianna's words and her weary submission, and near approval. Instead, she raised her wand, directed it towards Royda, and said the counter- charm out loud.

At once, Royda blinked. Then she looked around and said, "Corrandadadada! How come you're back so soon, man? I thought you had, like, disappeared for some time." Then the blue-eyed, dressed-in-blue, young woman turned towards Brianna. "Is this all, honey? Though I admit I've, like, no idea what all of you are doing."
Corranda smirked inwardly, really cackling out loud this time. She was so happy, she wanted to cackle all over again, but wisely refrained from doing so. "So," she asked Brianna loudly. "What's your verdict, Head-o? I'm a hundred and nine, and you shouldn't keep me waiting this much!" She added, in her usual, barking way.
Brianna smiled weakly at Royda,
"Thank you so much for your cooperation. You are free to go. Without your help we would have been unable to approve this charm. If you'd like to return to your shopping there is a mall just a block or so outside the ministry." She turned to Corranda, and though the words felt bitterto her lips, she had to say them,
"Miss Melvicks, I must congratulate you. You proved that your charm is both useful and that it works. Your charm is going to be approved." She stood up and walked over to her desk, noticing that her head was truly throbbing now, and opened the top drawer on the left and pulled out another form. This one was the approval form, which she immediately began to fill out.

"All I need is your signature and you are good to go. Just sign on the bottom line and I'll file the approval." She was still disappointed that she had been unable to find anything to warrant a disproval of the charm, but there was nothing she could do about that.
