Rico, who hadn't touched a drop of his tea, relaxed a bit when Evaline announced the meeting was over. He silently stood up and gathered his papers, preparing to leave along with everyone else. Actually, he realized as he glanced at his watch, he needed to speak briefly to Evaline.
He slowly ambled over to the head of the table, towards the boss. "Excuse me, Miss Bass," Rico said softly, "but I must apologize for my tardiness earlier...." he trailed off and shuffled the papers in his hand.
