"Miss please," Cassandra begged, "Couldn't he just finish with Miss Grau? Please?" She wasn't sure who the new woman was, but if she wanted to bring the obliviated Branxton to see the minister, she wasn't good.
Cassandra kept by her professor's side, although she did not cling to his other arm... The poor professor, didn't like being manhandled... or witch-handled in this case. She really should have just run, far far away...
She could have gone outside and called for the Nightbus... but she couldn't have him come into harm. Rae would have murdered her if she'd found out... already she was sure to face detention... not to mention expulsion!
Although now Branxton did realize he'd been obliviated... she hoped. Reagan looked to the young girl with the pleading tone in her voice. Caught off guard, she was about to ask why she wasn't in school, when Doyle responded... Quote:

She replied huffily, "Me taking you by the arm is hardly manhandling, thank you very much! And I should think that the Minister wishing to see you would be a priority! The man is busy enough without having to deal with your refusal to see him. Not to mention, that he's got a very important luncheon with Ms. Belle this afternoon, so there isn't much time to waste!" Reagan hated to be so persistent, but it was her job, and the Minister wanted it so. Quote:

"Doyle has apparently had a bit of an accident, Miss Taylor. Can you imagine such a horror? I'm sure Bren will understand though. Don't keep him waiting, Doyle. If you put him in a bad mood before our lunch plans today I simply will be too angry to ever forgive you. So hurry along." Reagan looked at Clara quizzically, "An accident? What type of accident? He looks fine to me." Reagan surveyed Doyle, looking for some sign of injury, but saw none. Realizing she'd disappointed Miss Belle a bit by the change in expression on her face, Reagan pointed out, "Ms. Belle, the Minister is quite happy that you're joining him for lunch. You'll both be in the conference room on level one, just as soon as he's finished a brief little meeting with Mr. Branxton. Which reminds me..." Reagan began thinking of all the decorating she wanted to do in the room before the lunch to make it more personal and romantic for the couple and began to panic inside. She was running out of time! If it is something important, I'm sure the Minister will want him to actually remember the events of their meeting, don't you think?" she asked. She knew Reagan was notoriously stubborn, but Madeline was just as bad. This man was not going anywhere until she had a good look at his condition. Reagan glared at Madeline. How dare she be so difficult! Insubordination to the Minister! Reagan stood up to her full height and with forced politeness replied, "Fine. Have it your way. But you do whatever you need to do immediately to fix him. And I'll be informing the Minister of your reluctance to comply with his wishes."
Reagan then turned to Doyle and requested, "Mr. Branxton, when you've had your little accident taken care of, will you please come to Level One and speak with the Minister? I believe it to be quite important." Important to the Minister and important if she wanted to keep her job. She already knew that the Minister would be angry with her for not retrieving him immediately, but short of cursing the man, Reagan couldn't really imagine how she could force him to see the Minister. With that said, Reagan turned on her heel and headed back toward the lifts.
