The End:#74 X-tinguish

There was no white light. That was the first thought that went through Tonks’ head.

It was noisy, though, and Tonks thought it would be quieter. There was the sound of battle and the high-pitched cackle of Bellatrix. There was the low grunt of Remus behind her as he fought. That sound she liked. It made it easier to slip away knowing he was still fighting for Teddy and the others.

There wasn’t even life flashing before her eyes, and she would have liked that. There was just green and then black. And that was the extinguishing of a life.
