Delilah was suddenly distracted by a memo that flew into the office. She uncurled her legs from beneath her and then slid out of the chair. Then, Delilah took a few steps forward and snatched the memo out of the air.
After reading it, the Department Head chuckled quietly. She muttered something unidentifyable under her breath before slipping the small paper into her binder.
"Why don't you all go ahead to the breakroom," Delilah suggested to her employees. "I have something to take care of, but I'll be back in a moment." She gave them a fleeting smile before heading out the door. |
