Family: His father is John Dawlish, the Ministry of Magic worker who accidentally gave away the date Harry Potter was being transported from Privet Drive to The Burrow and inadvertently caused Mad-Eye Moody's death. His mother died when he was seven and his father has been cruel towards him ever since as he doesnt see why Alaster survived and his mother didnt.

Description: Alaster is a quiet boy who often just sits and watches everyone else. He has never been to a school before and will probably take some time to settle in. He has been beaten by his father and generally treated badly before he came to Hogwarts and because of this he tends not to trust people very easily.
He is short and of average weight. He has short black hair and blue eyes like his father and a small nose like his mother.
He can often be seen alone but doesnt mean being alone or in a group of people, as long as he is not the centre of attention all the time.
He has some memory problems and often forgets things that most people would never forget so he may seem a little forgetful but he doesnt mean to forget people.
