As Emmy told him sorry, he looked away from her. Benjamin didnt want her to say sorry. He was beginning to get tired of the word. "Dont say you’re sorry." he said dangerly low. He was furious, but at the bottom of his heart he wasnt able to take his anger out on Emmy. It would be like yelling at a puppy. He didn’t want to show her he was feeling that way thought.
Jenny turned and glared at Emmy as she began to say she never wanted to hurt Ben. If only she could talk! She would so say something to that. But as she looked for her wand to try and reverse the silence charm placed on her, she found a fist in her face. Her nose exploded with pain as she yelped. Instinctively, she placed her hands on her nose.
"Wad is the madder wif you? Dis as nudding to du wid you beither!" she yelled back to the red head. She then walked toward her and pulled her hair as hard as she could, blood now streaming out of her nose.
Ben's anger went up a notch as he witnessed his little sister being punched in the face. He balled his hand in a fist and started for Chloe. He wasnt going to stand here and let her bully Jenny. "Dont you ever lay a hand on her again!" he shouted through his fury.
Jodie immediately rose to action and grabbed her sister. In the mess of things the silence charm had come off of her. It sounded like Chloe had broken her nose. She held on to Jenny tightly as Finn came and grabbed onto Chloe. Seeing that Benji was walking with fire in his eyes toward Chloe she pulled out her wand.
"Benjamin, so help me. If you dont stop where you are right now, I will curse you into oblivion." she said, dangerously. Her eyes were like a snake ready to strike. She was so mad right now, she didnt care what it took to regain order again. Her siblings were acting like maniacs, and she wasnt going to take this.
Ben actually stopped at Jodie's words. He didnt want to call her on her bluff, which he knew wasnt a bluff at all. But she didnt stop him from being livid. "Jodie how can you stand there and let her punch our sister in the face! I thought you were on my side! This is BULL! I WILL NOT BE MADE A FOOL OF!" He shouted, going red in the face.
Still struggling with Jenny, she looked up to face Ben. She couldnt believe what she was going to say next, but she said it. "Benjamin, you sound like dad when you yell. Dont turn out like him." she said slowly. She then forced Jenny to walk forward and took her into the living room.
Benji was about to yell something else, when she said she sounded like his father. He stopped mid-sentence and went silent. That stung him greatly. When Ben was only nine, his mom and dad had got a divorce. The divorce had hurt him a lot, and he took to drinking. When he was drunk he yelled until his face turned blue and usually resorted to taking it out on the three of them. Jenny mainly. He hated the man for it and promised himself he would never turn out that way.
It was a low blow, and Jodie knew it. But as he looked at the distraught Emmy and the speechless Axel, he realized she was right. He was acting like him. Having figured this out, he turned away from the two of them, ashamed. They were his best friends and he was yelling at them like his father did on Friday nights after a night at the bar. A silent tear fell down his cheek, as the realization stuck to him like caramel.
