I know you're scared, but they'll love you. Honest. You're everything that they could have hoped for in a girlfriend." He kissed her lightly on the lips. "Now, shall we carry on?" he asked softly.

He didn't tell her that he was pretty sure she was the first companion ever brought home by him or siblings. He knew that Andrew hadn't brought anyone home yet; of course he didn't realize that Amelia had introduced her boyfriend to their parents - nor did he know she was even dating someone.
