She wanted him to understand, not because she felt she had to do what he thought best, but because she was growing as a person and wanted that to be known and appreciated.

Nick turned his head towards her, amusingly.
"Well, exactly!! That's what I'm telling you, You can be all by yourself, whethere it's for friends or for something else. As for me I'm not even touched it, but that doesn't mean you should stop too. Make yourself comfortable and have fun..." he said as he leaned forward to see out of the window.
