Even though no one's responded back, or even looked at this lately I think, I'll go ahead and put this up anyway. I wrote it in bed last night, which is why it's so interesting. Starfire's POV about the events that went on during Date with Destiny. This is assuming that she know English normally, not her disjoined English.

So Close

When I first heard her name
I knew she was up to no good

When you agreed to go with her
I felt a loss I couldn’t explain
A different, new emotion
One I’d never felt before

I was told to investigate her
Yet I felt I couldn’t leave Robin’s side
So I went with him

When he saw me he was surprised
Maybe grateful
I knew he didn’t want to be with her
But he had to if he wanted to help

Then she came
Grabbed you from me
And declared it to the world
Another emotion rose up
Anger
And the new one
People were talking around me
I had to take my anger out
The first thing in sight:
Her pink limo

I watched you from the side
You got up to dance with her
How could you?
I thought you didn’t like dancing
Not with her at least
My anger rose again
And I found a name for my new emotion
Jealously

You came closer
I could hear you
Then you stopped
“In fact, I just don’t like you at all.”
The anger and jealousy fell away
Did this mean he really didn’t like her?

She pulled out a metal case
I knew it would destroy the city
He jumped at it, got it

When Fang arrived
I couldn’t help comparing him to Robin
“Get your hands off my girl.”
So she really didn’t like him!

I had to protect Robin
“Keep your legs off my boy!”
Did I just say that?
My boy?
Did Robin notice it?

Kitten said they were fighting over her
Robin would not fight for her
He would fight for me
She knew nothing about my Robin
There it came again
My Robin
I knew I had fallen for him
Full blast
And it was nice

We fought each other
Fighting over our boys
I pushed her down the table
She can’t take away Robin

Who knew a dress meant so much?
I’ve failed you Robin
She let them free
I tried to tell you that
But you had won
All hope was not lost

In one last attempt I knocked it out of her hands
“Consider yourself dumped.”
We had won
Robin and Starfire had won
It had a nice ring to it

The lights circled
I feared another attack by Kitten
“And the king and queen of tonight’s prom are… Robin and Starfire!”
There it was again
Robin and Starfire

I looked at him
He wouldn’t dance with me
Why would he dance with me?
I had nearly destroyed the city he worked so hard to save
“I guess one more dance can’t hurt.”
Did he mean it?
He wanted to dance?
With me?

We revolved around
For the first time that night I felt safe
Safe in his arms
Kitten couldn’t pull us apart

I reached my head forward
He smiled
Held my hand
We leaned in
Pausing for a moment
My mind reeled
What I about to do that?
With Robin?
The man of my dreams?

He hesitated too
Maybe this wasn’t going to happen
He reconsidered
Leaned in

So close
He was so close to my face
Closer still
Time seemed to stop
Then we finally connected
