Technically technical all the time Bookaholic Snape didn't feel the effects from the curse at first but, as soon as he could begin to wonder if somehow the curse had missed, he felt a burning in the pit of his stomach. It began as just a mild, concentrated pain. But, soon, it felt as if the fire, which had begun in his stomach had spread throughout his body, burning him from the inside. His wand fell from his hand as he clutched his stomach with one hand and fought to keep from screaming. He fell to his knees as the burning moved from his torso, up his neck and into his head. Both hands grabbed at his head as he screamed. The pain had been intense throughout his body, but the burning of his eyes and his brain in addition to the rest of his body was more than he could bear.
